  Water Gauge Camp area. Part of the Black Range State Forest north of Toolangi State Forest. Area affected by the '09 fires. Regrowth quite substantial. The Murrindindi River Walk well worth the effort and climb to Wilhelmina Falls. The track continues east then south in a loop becoming the Boroondara track back to camp along a stream and then the Murrindindi River. Several camp areas here and a little too popular at Easter. The forest is of the temperate rainforest type although not as substantial as parts of Toolangi State Forest. Murrindindi Rd connects to the vast network of forest roads in this area.
